Hookshot (provided you have the charm, and it’s barely even a “move”).Let’s start off with the moveset, because thats important for a 3D platformer. Now let’s talk gameplay, because it surely has a lot of it. The theming just feels unbalanced, trying to hard to be cute, yet also attempting to get kudos from young adults. Not to mention halfway through they just throw a fucking horror level at you. It feels like it’s attempting to be “cutesy” to appeal to kids, and then is “le edgy relatable”, at times, with shit like “the normal amount of empty”. The writing, theming, and overall atmosphere is just annoying. I don’t like when games use the story or writing charm to cover up sub par gameplay. You might think I don’t like games with a lot of charm. So you’ll have to excuse me when I say I really don’t like an unpolished and basic 3D platformer, just because “it’s an indie game, and it has charm.” I could name a lot more indie games that are not only much more fun and are much more polished.

Just simply being an indie game doesn’t justify being unpolished.

“but it’s an indie game, give it some slack.” This whole game is unpolished and lazy to the whole core, which doesn’t seem like a game that got over 10 times its original kickstarter goal. Character models, the faces, the camera blurring stuff that isn’t that far, the awkward camera and character motion that happens when using hookshot, the camera in general, that stupid fucking homing attack, Snatcher’s animations, I could go on and on. Throughout the entire game I could just feel an aura of cheapness on both of my playthroughs. The whole game just reeks of unpolished mess. It just sadly ended up turning out mediocre. It’s clear they had passion in the project. Also, I don’t mean anything bad to the devs. Don’t let this “review” make you feel bad about it. (Before I begin, I’d like to say that this is entirely copy and pasted from discord because I initially wrote it there for a server I was in, so if you see grammar mistakes, thats why.
